We negotiate collective agreements for halton permanent and casual teachers who work in Halton Catholic District School Board high schools. We are also responsible for negotiating and protecting the salaries and working conditions of occasional secondary school teachers in Halton. Wages, working conditions, social benefits and rights issues are key issues in our collective agreements and we negotiate regularly to ensure the preservation and improvement of these positions. Negotiating is one thing, protecting these rights is another. HLT-OECTA works with the Board of Directors and school administration teams to ensure that teachers` rights are respected and respected.
